Weight loss

Weight loss, in the health or physical fitness or medical context, is the reduction of the total weight in the human body, due to significant loss of body fat, adipose tissue or fluid or muscles, lean mass, tendon, bone mineral deposits and some other connective tissues. Decreasing the total weight of our body by dieting, medical conditions is known as weight loss or weight control. Weight loss is basically divided into two categories: -

  • Unintentional weight loss: - A major loss in total body weight is a chronic and serious illness. Considerable, unintentional weight loss is the symptom of chronic and acute illness, particularly if other facts are present.
    Weight loss, for instance, convoyed by insatiable hunger and thirst and exhaustion may indicate the diabetes mellitus, a kind of chronic sickness distinguished by an irregular accretion of carbohydrates due to the insufficient creation of insulin in bloodstream.
  • Intentional weight loss: - Intentional weight loss refers to the total body accumulation loss in order to improve health, fitness and appearance. Beneficial weight loss, in the person who is overweight, will decrease the probability of rising bugs like diabetes. Obese and overweight create a great risk for the individual of health conditions like heat diseases (may be heart attack), diabetes of type two, high blood pressure, osteoarthritis, stroke and some type of cancer also.
    For healthy and secure weight loss, it is necessary to follow a proper routine of exercise and diet. These days, different types of drugs and pills are also available for faster weight loss.
