Acid reflux is a medical state in which the acids and juices present in the stomach come up towards the esophagus different from hemorrhoids. Increased acid reflux from the stomach can lead to a barrier between the stomach and the esophagus. Some of the foods which cause acid reflux are coffee, alcohol, soda containing caffeine etc. Foods which contain high fats delay the emptying of the stomach which causes acid reflux to happen. Smoking is also an important factor which causes acid reflux to happen. Spicy and acidic foods like oranges and tomatoes can also cause acid reflux in the stomach.

Acid reflux is a gastro esophageal reflux disease. Some of the symptoms of acidic reflux are earache, hoarseness, coughing, nausea and burning sensation in the chest. Acidic reflux is a very painful experience. So it is suggested to find a cure to it as soon as possible. The best prevention to acid reflux is dieting. Individuals should take least amount of caffeinated products so that they can get least amount of acidity in their stomach. Eating less fast foods and taking the breakfast regularly also helps curbing acid reflux. Performing certain positional therapy like elevating head over the head can also make the body strong and healthy from the inside. People suffering from acid reflux are not suggested to drink alcohol as the alcohol provokes the acid in the stomach to rise up and chances of an attack rises. Patients are not suggested to lie down after 3 hours of a meal because this decreases the amount of food in the stomach and allows acid to rise up. People who eat fast food are at more risk of having acid reflux than other people.
